Hyperactivity
ADHD stands for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and affects a significant number of children, adolescents and adults in Australia. The condition is characterised by the combination of hyperactivity, inattention and impulsiveness, with hyperactivity setting it apart from conditions like ADD. In adults, hyperactivity often presents simply as restlessness.
Inattention
Inattention is easy to attribute to physical illness or having an off day, but when combined with other symptoms, it is a common characteristic of ADHD. Symptoms may also include disorganization or having trouble prioritising. If you feel like you can't focus or sit still for long periods and it's affecting you or your work, call our team.

Impulsiveness
Impulsiveness often presents differently in adults than it does in children. Whereas children are often unable to control their initial reactions to situations, adults can usually think before they act. However, impulsiveness still plays a role in adult ADHD. Symptoms may include outbursts while driving in traffic or waiting in line.
